ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Pam Esser, M.Ed., holds a Masters Degree in Special Education. She was a
teacher and tutor for over ten years. Currently, she holds the position of
Executive Director of the Attention Deficit Disorders Association-Southern
Region. Mrs. Esser serves as the Regional Conference Coordinator for the
association and presents Teach and Reach Students with Attention Deficit
Disorders at teacher and parent workshops. Mrs. Esser is the mother of two
sons with ADHD.
Nancy Eisenberg, MSW, LCSW, LMFT has been a psychotherapist for thirty
years and currently is in private practice where she works with ADD/ADHD
children, adolescents and adults and their families. Mrs. Eisenberg is a
founding member and served as vice president, president and regional
director of Attention Deficit Disorders Association-Southern Region for ten
years. In appreciation for her service, the association established the
Eisenberg Award to be given annually. Mrs. Eisenberg is also a founding
member and was vice-president of National Attention Deficit Disorders
Association. She served as a consultant to the Federal Resource Center as
part of the U.S. Department of Education's Special Education ADHD Project,
1990-1992 and participated in the forum on Education of Children with ADD in
Washington, D.C. sponsored by the U.S Department of Education, January
1993. Mrs. Eisenberg has given numerous workshops and lectures to teachers
and parents every year. Mrs. Eisenberg's son has ADHD.
